Benefits

Retirement Contributions: The West Fargo Public School District shall pay both sides of the retirement contribution to the Teachers’ Fund for Retirement (T.F.F.R.)

Supplemental Retirement Contribution Match: First year match option of $3,450 to 403(b) retirement savings plan available.

Health Insurance:
The West Fargo School District offer two options of health coverage to employees. The Select Choice 500 Plan or the BlueSaver 90 Plan paired with a health savings account. The district will pay 83.85% per month of a single or single plus dependent premium, or 73.85% of a family monthly premium. Coverage will begin on the first of the month after hire.

Dental And Vision Insurance:
Single monthly premium paid by the district, with option to elect family dental and/or family vision coverage. Upon such election, the individual will pay the difference between the monthly single premium and the monthly family premium. Coverage will begin on the first of the month after hire.

Life Insurance:
Term life insurance of $50,000 is provided with the premium paid by the district. Optional coverage is available to purchase up to an additional $200,000 of life insurance coverage, plus optional coverage on family members.

Long Term Disability Insurance:
Insurance covers 66 2/3 percent of salary and the premium is paid by the District.

Liability Insurance:
Consistent with all employees, the district provides liability insurance to a maximum coverage of $2,500,000.

Sick Leave: Twelve days per year accumulative to 144 days. Sick leave may also be used for surgery/illness of spouse or child under 21.

Emergency Leave: 3 days per year of leave for emergency purposes accumulative to 5 days.

Funeral Leave: Consistent with all employees up to a maximum of five days per occurrence for immediate family members and a maximum of two days per year allowed for other funerals.
