Welcome to Blaine County School District, serving the cities of Bellevue, Carey, Hailey, Ketchum, and Sun Valley! Blaine County is located in South-Central Idaho, just 2.5 hours East of the Capital City, Boise. The Blaine County School District, located within the beautiful Wood River Valley, is home of the world famous Sun Valley Ski Resort and the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. The area offers exceptional year-round family recreation opportunities. Sun Valley's 54 groomed ski runs and 3,400-foot vertical drop have made it a destination resort for over 70 years.

The Blaine County area also boasts hundreds of miles of world-class Nordic ski trails, mountain biking trails, and outstanding golf and tennis facilities. The Wood River Trail System runs the length of the Valley, from Bellevue to north of Ketchum, and connects with the Harriman Trail System running through the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. In the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, camping and hiking opportunities abound with more than 300 alpine lakes. Idaho offers unparalleled hunting, fishing, and exhilarating outdoor activities. Big game includes antelope, bear, deer, elk, goat, and sheep, with seasons opening in August and continuing to January.

Blaine County's rural family environment is supported by the St. Luke's Regional Medical Center, the College of Southern Idaho Extension, over 50 international restaurants, many art galleries, and a thriving arts community. The area also hosts numerous special events, including the Honda Ski Tour, the Trailing of the Sheep Festival, 4th of July Rodeo, and the Ketchum Alive free summer concert series. Company History

Our school system is a growing system, which has increased in student enrollment from 1,600 in 1980 to 3,318 in 2009. At the present time, our District includes four elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, an alternative school, a K-12 school, a developmental preschool, and three regular ed preschools.
