The Shrewsbury Board of Education seeks an experienced, thoughtful, and child-centered educational leader to serve as Chief School Administrator for its high-performing PreK–8 district. Shrewsbury Borough Elementary School is a public school located in Shrewsbury, NJ, which is in a suburban setting. The student population of Shrewsbury Borough Elementary School is approximately 450 students and the school serves PK-8. At Shrewsbury Borough Elementary School, 73% of students scored at or above the proficient level for math, and 72% scored at or above that level for reading. The student-teacher ratio is 9:1, and the district budget is just over 13 million dollars. The Board seeks the ideal candidate who will demonstrate:
- A skillset to oversee both superintendent and principal responsibilities;
- An expertise at developing and promoting programs that support academic growth;
- Has experience (or related) as a classroom teacher at the K-8 level;
- A mindset of a visionary forward thinking leader who has a proven track record as a results-oriented administrator that understands the complexities of a high expectation community. - Prior experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Principal or Director of Special Services (preferred)
- A competitive salary (range $160,000-$199,000) and benefits package will be offered.
